Remote online notarization (RON) uses secure audio-video technology to connect a signer with a commissioned notary without either party needing to be in the same location. Online Notary Center's RON platform is built to meet state-specific RON statutes and delivers a structured, auditable session record for every notarization.
Unlike a simple video call, a compliant RON session includes credential-based identity verification, a tamper-evident digital seal, and a session record — the three elements most states require for a legally valid remote notarization.
Encrypted Sessions
Document data and video sessions are encrypted in transit and at rest per state RON laws.
KBA Identity Verification
Multi-factor ID check with credential analysis and knowledge-based authentication questions.
