Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: [Insert last reviewed date]

Online Notary Center is committed to ensuring that our website and platform are accessible to all users, including people with disabilities.

Our Commitment

We are working to make our website conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines help make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

What We Do

As part of our ongoing effort to improve accessibility, we have implemented or are working toward:

Semantic HTML Structure

We use semantic HTML5 elements — including <header>, <nav>, <main>, and <footer> — to provide meaningful document structure for screen reader users. Pages have a single <h1> and a logical heading hierarchy.

Keyboard Navigation

All interactive elements — buttons, links, and form fields — are operable by keyboard without requiring a mouse. A "skip to main content" link is provided at the top of every page for keyboard users who want to bypass repeated navigation.

Color Contrast

We aim for a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and UI components, as specified by WCAG 2.1 AA. Brand colors have been selected to support these contrast requirements.

Screen Reader Support

Interactive components include appropriate ARIA labels, roles, and states. Form fields are associated with their labels. Decorative images use empty alt="" attributes; informative images include descriptive alt text.

Focus Indicators

Visible focus indicators are provided for all keyboard-navigable elements. We do not suppress the browser's default focus ring.

Responsive Design

The website is designed to be responsive and usable at a range of screen sizes and zoom levels, supporting users who rely on browser zoom or large-text settings.

Forms

Contact and other forms include accessible labels, required field indicators, and accessible error messages that identify the field and describe the issue.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, some areas of the website are still being updated. We are actively working to address any known gaps. [Insert specific known limitations if applicable].

Reporting an Accessibility Issue

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our website, or if you need content in an alternative format, please contact us. We take all accessibility feedback seriously and will work to address issues promptly.
